May 25 we welcome back the rest of the vendors, along with a few new folks, and our time moves back to 9am – 1pm. We’ll have cooking demonstrations and a garden clinic on opening day, and free live local music every Saturday from 10am – noon. Stay tuned for details!

We’re at Junction 211 (corner of Cherry & Franklin Ave., 211 Cherry St.) every Saturday thru May 18 from 10am – 1pm.

Save the date – February 2 – for our first Seasonal Food Swap!

What the heck is a food swap? It’s an event that brings people together to trade their homemade, homegrown, or even foraged food items with one another. Join us for a fun afternoon of sampling and bartering – bring 5 – 7 items and go home with that many goodies made by other food lovers in the community. For more information, check out the Food Swap Network.

Here’s what you need to do if you plan to attend.

The Haymaker Holiday Markets will also be held at Junction 211 on December 8 & 15 from 10am – 1pm.

With 20+ vendors, including three OEFFA certified organic farmers growing a wide variety of vegetables and herbs in high tunnels, and fresh baked goods including organic, gluten-free and vegan, artisan goat and cow cheeses, pastured eggs and meats, certified organic specialty grains, flours, and dry beans, handmade fresh pasta, vegan veggie patties, salsa and hot sauces, preserves, maple syrup, honey, locally roasted coffee beans, dried herb blends, soaps, lotions, candles, dried flower arrangements, and more. Enjoy ready to eat foods and hot coffees while getting knives, scissors, or tools sharpened.

It’s an all-star lineup at Kent Roosevelt High School starting this Saturday from 9am to noon with lots of fresh produce (several high tunnels in production with salad greens, kale, collards, beet greens, spinach, green garlic, parsley, dill, cilantro), plus baked goods, preserves, cheese, flour, cornmeal, dried beans, and so much more. We’ll be set up again in the big, sunny atrium by the school auditorium. You can park in the circular drive in front of the school, or in any of the parking lots and enter through the cafeteria side – both doors will be open, with signs pointing you in the right direction.

We continue our SNAP program, so customers can swipe their Ohio Direction Card for tokens to spend with any vendor selling approved food items, or you can use your credit or debit card to buy tokens to use for any purchase with every vendor. Visit the market info table by the front entrance for more information, and to buy a snazzy market tee or recycled cotton canvas shopping tote.
